Bitcoin and other cryptos are set to go mainstream with the release of Wuabit crypto wallet. The wallet and WhatsApp, the highly popular messaging app, are intertwined. This initiative will enhance widespread adoption and usage of Bitcoin and other cryptos.
What is Wuabit Wallet and how will it Work?
Wuabit wallet will be accessed through a chat interface in WhatsApp. It is a software agent that is entirely powered by specific Artificial Intelligence, AI.
The wallet will make it easy to use Bitcoin and other cryptos in their daily activities. A user will write command such as ‘send 2 BTC to Joe’ and Wuabit completes the transaction in seconds.
However, using a universal app like WhatsApp, Wuabit is looking forward to enhancing crypto use in the mainstream.
Speaking to Express, the company’s spokesperson said:
We have nearly completed the wallet core service starting with BTC. By using WhatsApp/SMS/Telegram, you can access that wallet easily. Crypto payments via WhatsApp can introduce greater numbers of new users who only know how to chat to this complicated space. Usability is the key in user adoption and a great enabler.
Plans to Integrate Other Cryptos
According to Wuabit official website, plans are in high gear to include other popular cryptos with the service such as Bitcoin Cash (BTC), Litecoin (LTC) as well as Ethereum (ETH).
Wuabit wallet release comes months after the development of Tippin. The Twitter Lightning Network browsing extension has gained prominence in the recent past. Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey, has even praised it terming it an excellent project.
Beta Test Due Next Month
Wuabit developers confirm that they are almost through with the development stage and will test the service early next month. In a Medium article, they said that the wallet would attract more adoption of Bitcoin in the mainstream.
Furthermore, the team intends to introduce more services like price checking and crypto trading to their dapp in the future.
More Popular Messaging Apps to Include
The Wuabit team is working hard to extend the service to various messaging apps. Facebook messenger, Telegram and Viber users will soon receive the Wuabit services. The team says that provision of the services using popular apps will attract more people to use cryptos.
Although enhancing crypto adoption is a good cause, the impact Wuabit will have cannot be estimated yet. The developers will have to work hard to improve awareness among the public.
